Hmmm... I'm struggling with Photos and Videos. But not like you think. I've got a couple of great cameras, a Flip HD, a built-in camera on the Macbook, etc. I've got a Flickr account (that I just don't use enough I think). I've got a YouTube account that I really have only used to "share" and "favorite" other people's videos. But you know, I wanna create some media. I would like to start creating video blogs, uploading pictures someplace and posting them, or keep an ongoing media "library" or something. I'm just not sure what, or really how to implement it in a fun way. So there you go. "Wrestling" with media. Not specifically trying to figure out how to do something technical with a particular bit of media, in fact, just the opposite. I've got all kinds of sick-ass software on my Macbook for video, sound, and photography... heck, even illustration software. The problem is, I'm just don't feel like I'm using it as much as I could, or would like to. I think I've somewhat decided that maybe a "photo and video" page is a good idea... but then I thought, "why can't I just categorize blog posts as photo or video?". See? Who the hell lets something so silly cause him so much consternation? Me, that's who. I don't worry about war, or starvation, or the environment. I worry about, "shit, what's a cool way to put photos and videos on my blog?" and "does this look infected to you?". So I'm stuck, and it sucks. How do other sites do it well? Has anyone ever seen photos or videos published on other blog sites in a creative or compelling way that they liked? Seen any gallery treatments you liked? I think I just need a spark of inspiration. Got any handy?
